Pepe Mel preparing to leave West Brom

Pepe Mel is expected to leave West Bromwich Albion after tomorrow's final game of the season.

The Daily Mail says it seems near certain that his final match in charge will come at the Hawthorns on Sunday - with talks with chairman Jeremy Peace set to follow.

Malaga are a likely destination for Mel should he leave West Brom but the Spaniard insisted he has enjoyed his time in England, "I will go from here with two feelings - achieving the objective and people not really knowing the head coach I am.

"I learned a lot of things so I have no regrets. I enjoy the culture, the Premier League and England.

"I will meet the chairman after the Stoke City game. Whether it is after the referee's whistle or what I don't know. But I hope it is sorted quickly. I am only interested to find out what West Brom have to say."
