Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is chasing St Etienne defender Kurt Zouma.
The People says he is chasing a new defender, and the St Etienne starlet is available and can also play in Europe.
Zouma has been on the Blues' radar before - as Sunday People Sport revealed last year - and Pellegrini's spies have reopened the dossier after being ordered to find a suitable player.
City's top scout Gary Worthington saw the powerful 18-year-old, who also plays for France's Under-21s, in action last week and was impressed.
