Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini says they're ready to haul in leaders Chelsea after their superb Champions League win at AS Roma.
The result capped a stunning fortnight for City, who have now won their last six games and are just three points off Chelsea, having been nine adrift on November 29.
"From the morning we must forget about the Champions League," said Pellegrini last night.
"We play again [in the Champions League] in February and we have four games before the end of December in the Premier League, that for me is so important.
"In England the Premier League is maybe more important than the
Champions League, and that is why we must focus on beating Leicester on Saturday and winning the games in December.
"We were not trying to send any message [against Roma]. We are just happy we achieved the target we had at the beginning of the year in this moment.
"Now we try to discount the points Chelsea are on top of us in the table."
