Denmark U17 coach Michael Pedersen is adamant Martin Braithwaite can succeed with Barcelona.

The emergency signing from Leganes is expected to be moved on this summer.

But Pedersen, who first discovered Braithwaite as a teen, told Goal: "We have not seen Martin play much at Barça due to the coronavirus stoppage, but he is much better than many believe.

"He has the ability to adapt to different tactical schemes depending on the clubs he has represented in his career so far, and I know he can play with a vision and anticipation in his game that is quite extraordinary.

"He is a very intelligent player. That is why I think he is a footballer for Barcelona. And that is why I am looking forward to seeing him play when the LaLiga is restarted because, with such good teammates, you will have a great chance to show your skills at the highest level."
