Stuart Pearce wants another shot at the England U21 job.
Sky Sports says Pearce feels he has unfinished business with the U21s and he would be keen to return to the role.
However, current interim head coach Aidy Boothroyd, who attended the draw for the 2017 European Championship earlier this month, remains the firm favourite to land the job on a permanent basis.
The former Manchester City and Nottingham Forest boss was in charge of the U21s from 2007 until 2013, when the FA decided not to renew his contract after England youngsters lost all three of their matches at the European Championship.
