Roman Pavlyuchenko has revealed he's rejected a new contract offer from Tottenham.
The striker is unsettled by talk of a new centre-forward signing this month.
He told Sport Express: "The proposed conditions do not suit me yet. The amount became a bit more, but not as much as I want. But this is not the only reason I have taken a pause - I desire to see what else will happen before the transfer window closes.
"Rumours are circulating about [Emmanuel] Adebayor joining us, then [Andy] Carroll from Newcastle United. And if they prove true? Will I be satisfied with the role of fourth or fifth striker, I don't want that.
"At the end of January I will have talks in London with my agent Oleg Artemov. I really like to play in Tottenham - it is a really big club, which now competes with the leaders of the Premier League and successfully played in the Champions League.
"But just to play - to repeat sitting on the bench is something I don't want."
