Jermaine Pennant is edging closer to the Liverpool exit door.

The Daily Mail says the winger was pictured swigging from a bottle of Jack Daniels outside Faces nightclub in the early hours of Monday morning, just over 24 hours after his side had defeated Bolton 2-0 - Pennant wasn't even on the bench.

Pennant, who is rumoured to be on his way out of Liverpool after being axed from their Carling Cup squad last week by the club's manager Rafa Benitez, was at the Essex nightspot on the same evening as Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan.
