Parma players react to lack of club buyers...

Parma's players have released a joint statement over the club's precarious future.

Parma are currently in administration and yet to find a new buyer.

"In light of the auction today, which again attracted no offers, and the decision of the judge to set a final auction for June 9, we express our regret as players of Parma FC that the future of the club is still not guaranteed," a statement from the player's on Parma's official website began.

"The sporting debt is too high, and we are aware that the sacrifices we have made [surrendering 75 per cent of wages owed] have not been enough.

"We thank all our colleagues who have supported us, while we are disappointed to see that others did not want to co-operate.

"Everyone would be well within their rights not to surrender anything which should rightfully belong to him, whether it's a lot or not much, but there's no alternative if we are to have hope that the club can survive.

"The future of Parma FC, of all the people who work here and those who really love the club, is in your [potential buyers'] hands.

"Time is short. Words are not enough. We need facts."
