Parma director Daniele Faggiano is proud of their deal for former Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian.

Darmian has joined for €1.4m.

“We had talked to the Coach about Darmian and thought it was impossible, due to the costs and various issues, but by pushing, we reached an agreement," Faggiano said in his Press conference.

“When the news came out, it seemed to be out of nowhere, but we had been working on it for quite a while. Like Roberto Inglese or Yann Karamoh, Darmian represents a coup for Parma.

“We are happy to have brought him back to Italy, and he also returned to get back into the Italy squad. He can help everyone raise their game."
