Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew says Massadio Haidara is a big part of his long-term plans.

The young fullback's time on Tyneside has been plagued by injury.

"Haidara has been out a long time with injuries," said Pardew.

"He has been unlucky since he has been here.

"He gives us a natural left foot and we think he has a big future with us."
