Pardew fears Newcastle foreign stars will quit over Kinnear

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew fears his top foreign players will want out over the combative nature of new director of football Joe Kinnear.

The Daily Mail says Pardew does not want to let his best players leave the club, but he is aware of the friction caused by Kinnear's erratic outing on the airwaves.

Pardew fears his stars will use Kinnear's ignorance to force a move before the start of the season.

The Newcastle manager met with the club's new director of football earlier this week to thrash out a working relationship before they begin pre-season training.

They pulled out of a move for Brazilian defender Douglas earlier this week after Kinnear refused to sanction his arrival on a free transfer.
