Pardew brands Chelsea coach Ianni actions 'ridiculous'

Former Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew slammed Chelsea coach Marco Ianni for his role in the end of match melee with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.

Pardew said being goaded was the last thing the under-fire United boss Mourinho needed at this moment.

Speaking on Goals on Sunday, Pardew said: "[It was] totally ridiculous and I'm glad he apologised and I'm also glad Jose accepted his apology.

"In his situation, the pressure he is under, that's the last thing he wanted."

The 2-2 draw ensured Chelsea retained their unbeaten start to the Premier League season, and keeps them within touching distance of both Liverpool and Manchester City.

The Red Devils meanwhile are ninth, seven points behind the Stamford Bridge club in third.
