Alan Pardew has implored Wilfried Zaha to do everything he can to warrant selection in England's U21 side for the 2015 European Championships.
The Crystal Palace winger is in the running to make Gareth Southgate's Young Lions team for the tournament in the Czech Republic in June and Pardew believes it would do his confidence the world of good.
"I would love Wilf to go to the European championships because that is a big tournament for us, particularly after the Champions League results this year," he said.
"And England didn't do well in the World Cup so Gareth should have the best players available and I'm hoping Wilf is one of them."
