The Paraguay FA have declared Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz needs surgery to fix a knee injury.
"Santa Cruz was injured in the match he played for Blackburn last weekend and it is very possible that he will need surgery," said a statement from the Paraguay FA today.
Paraguay coach Gerardo Martino has called up Cerro Porteno striker Jorge Achucarro as a replacement for Santa Cruz.
