Palmeiras coach Ferreira responds to Guardiola blunder: Man City have bought players from us!

Palmeiras coach Abel Ferreira has shrugged off comments made by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Guardiola declared River Plate, not Palmeiras, as South American champions ahead of tonight's Club World Cup final against Chelsea.

Ferreira responded, stating: "Europeans know South America very well, so much so that they buy in large quantities. I know what you're talking about, Guardiola, I admire Guardiola a lot, I believe he doesn't have time, because he is very focused on winning the Champions League, because he has one of the best teams today.

"I invite him to watch the game and get to know Palmeiras. He has a player who they bought from Palmeiras (Gabriel Jesus), and I can tell you to pay attention, we have more and of great quality.

"As I know he likes to meet new people and I do too, if one day he can have lunch or dinner with me, it will be a pleasure for us to exchange some ideas and see if I learned something."
