Manchester United hero Gary Pallister is backing his old club to win the Capital One Cup.
Sir Alex Ferguson had to wait three years for his first piece of silverware and as one of the former boss' first signings, Pallister can sympathise with David Moyes' problems.
"I can see United winning this competition," he said.
"Sir Alex said many times if you have silverware in your trophy cabinet at the end of the year, you can look at each other and say, 'Yeah, we've had success'.
"Obviously, Champions League qualification comes into it and that is important to the lifeblood of United. On a financial level, if we don't make it, that will be disappointing.
"But I still say if United win the Capital One Cup, then it will be a successful first season for David Moyes."
