Palermo's Bresciano linked with AEK Athens

Palermo midfielder Mark Bresciano is now being linked with Greek Super League club AEK Athens. The 30-year old Australia international has been linked with a number of clubs in recent months including Stoke City, Blackburn Rovers and Sampdoria but nothing ever eventuated.

The same happened with a proposed move to Saudi Arabian club Al Shabab last year but Bresciano remained in Sicily.

It is now believed that Athens are hoping to snare Bresciano on a free transfer and Eurosport has reported that they are keen to offer him a two-year deal but the ex-Empoli and Parma man wants more than they capital club can offer.

Bresciano is almost certain to leave Palermo at the end of the season but his future is still up in the air at this stage.
