Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has hit out at the press over the lack of coverage for their stalemate with Napoli on Sunday evening.

Zamparini has accused the established media of running down southern clubs.

He barked: "Why in the South should we shut up? I called De Laurentiis on Saturday because in Gazzetta, Corriere and Tuttosport there wasn't even a line about Napoli-Palermo. It's a disgrace this ghettoisation of the South."
