Palermo have joined the race for Espanyol midfielder Pablo Zabaleta.

The Argentine has just over two years left on his existing contract and been told to wait before approaching management about a new deal.

Juventus and Atletico Madrid have made enquiries after Zabaleta and Sicilian sources say Palermo are also in the frame.
