Palermo boss Delio Rossi is delighted to see Goran Pandev amongst the goals for Inter Milan.

Rossi worked with Pandev at Lazio and was pleased to see the Macedonia captain get off the mark for Inter in the derby win over AC Milan.

"I expected this great impact at Inter," said Rossi. "I know Goran very well and I can tell he is a champion."

Pandev may struggle to find space though now that Samuel Eto'o is returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.

"He can play everywhere, in a trident or as a shadow striker so he will have no problems. Goran is incredibly skilled and fast. Furthermore, he is a team player and this is a great gift for a player.

"Before he was just a talent now he is more than that. His only drawback is that he gets lazy a bit."
