Jacob Butterfield is using his former Manchester United teammates for inspiration at Crystal Palace.
Aged just 21, the former Manchester United youth prospect insists he can handle the pressure for Keith Hill's Championship side.
The midfielder is dreaming of reaching the Premier League and setting up a reunion with former United team-mates Danny Welbeck and Tom Cleverley.
Butterfield said: "It's impressive to be skipper of a Championship side at 21.
"Being made captain came out of the blue. The boss wanted me to have that extra responsibility and I think I have responded well. I'm focused on what's best for the team.
"I was born into football as I arrived at the start of the World Cup in Italy in 1990.
"I was at Man United's academy until I was 15. I played with Welbeck, while Cleverley is a year older. The United lads give me inspiration."
