Palace chief Moody discusses January market plans

Crystal Palace football chief Iain Moody has spoken about their January market plans.

Moody has dismissed the notion that Palace will make as many additions as they did in the summer - when there were 16 signings following promotion from the Championship.

"I don't think there will be 15 or 16 players coming in during January - that would have a destabilising effect," he told the South London Press. "It is about fine-tuning, identifying the two or three players you need to try and upgrade.

"All managers have different fetishes of players. The first thing I say is to give me five measuring sticks - what your ideal goalkeeper looks like, what your ideal left-back looks like and so on.

"If a manager only wants a goalkeeper that is at least 6ft 4ins tall then there is no point looking at one that is 5ft 10ins, no matter how good he is, because he doesn't fit the model."
