Crystal Palace are set to spark a Premiership scramble for midfielder Ben Watson.

The Mirror says Palace boss Neil Warnock has told star midfielder Watson he is being sold to raise money for new players.

Warnock, in charge since last month, is desperate to bolster his struggling Selhurst Park squad - but chairman Simon Jordan has ordered Warnock to generate the funds himself.

Premier League Reading have expressed an interest in £2million-rated Watson. Middlesbrough and Liverpool have also been long-term suitors.
