Pablo Machin has been named new coach of Elche.

Machin takes charge after the dismissal of predecessor Jorge Almiron.

He steps back into Spanish football after time away in the Middle East with Al-Ain and Al-Raed.

Machin is also a former Girona and Sevilla coach.

He joins Elche with the minnows currently bottom of the LaLiga table.
