Pablo Barrios has signed a new contract with Atletico Madrid.

The Spain U19 midfielder has signed a contract dated until 2028. His previous deal was to expire in 2025.

Barrios has come through the academy at Atlético and made the leap to the first team this season season.

In three of the past four La Liga games, the 19-year-old midfielder was on the pitch twice from the start.

Atletico coach Diego Simeone said of the teen last week: "He is noble, works hard, grows, and does not think individually like others."
