Manchester United had major concerns over Michael Owen's groin injury, it has been revealed.
The Sun says Owen was sent to hospital for a scan on his injured groin yesterday amid fears over the seriousness of his injury.
Manchester United striker Owen went into training after limping out of Wednesday night's 2-1 win over Wolfsburg. But the club's medical staff were taking no risks and quickly sent him off for the scan.
Boss Alex Ferguson said after the game Owen could miss three weeks.
