Ostersunds chairman Daniel Kindberg has pulled out of plans to invest in Hartlepool United.
Kindberg was part of a consortium seeking to buy Hartlepool.
"I will not participate in the consultation that will be presented," OFK's chairman told Fotbollskanalen.
"The one part is an assessment of finance and economics in a long-term perspective. What conditions are there.
"The second part is that I do not have the time required to be an active partner. Instead, being a passive partner and supporter feels very strange. Being a passive partner, it would be more like a pure investment and never felt interesting."
OSK enjoyed a run to the knockout phase of the Europa League this season, which was stopped by Arsenal.
