Orlando City SC's Kaka has been named captain of the AT&T 2015 MLS All-Star team.
The Brazilian midfielder was voted in as skipper of the competition's selection by MLS fans via Snapchat and will now lead the team in the 2015 All-Star match against Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur later this month.
The former AC Milan and Real Madrid star was thrilled to gain the captaincy in just his first season in the USA and Canada's top flight.
"This is amazing. It's an amazing opportunity to be there," said Lions captain Kaka.
"I grew up watching All-Star Games, NFL, NBA, and now to have the chance to play one of these games is amazing, and now I'm gifted to be the captain of the team, so thank you everybody that voted for me.
"I'm excited to take the Orlando City's flag to the MLS All Star and be a part of the team. To play with the best players in America now will be nice, it will be a great game and a great experience for everybody."
The 2015 AT&T MLS All-Star match takes place at Dick's Sporting Goods Park in Colorado on Wednesday, July 29.
