Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill feels Nicklas Bendtner can be pleased with his form this season.

The Dane has been playing for Sunderland on-loan from Arsenal.

"He's capable of scoring more goals, and more importantly he feels that," O'Neill told The Journal.

"He thinks he can find the net more often rather than heading off out to the wing.

"He played a lot of times at Arsenal out wide so maybe there's a bit of a re-adjustment going on.

"I've been pleased with him, but if he could add a few extra goals, which I think he's capable of doing, I think he'd be pleased with his efforts up here."
