NZ to monitor injury situation of West Ham's Reid

New Zealand manager Anthon Hudson says he will continue to observe the fitness of Winston Reid.

The All Whites captain has not played for West Ham United since the beginning of the month because of a hamstring injury but could still become available for his national team.

NZ meet South Korea in Seoul next week and Hudson insists centre-back Reid will be considered if he keeps recovering well from the problem that has sidelined him for the Hammers' past two Premier League fixtures.

"Winston is our captain and leader and we will continue to monitor his situation closely," said Hudson.

"He is obviously an important member of our squad and we will give him every chance to be involved and we will make a final decision later in the week."
