New York Red Bulls will sign former Portland Timbers defender Stephen Keel.
The 27-year old has been trialing with the club this pre-season and head coach Hans Backe has revealed that he will become a Red Bulls player very soon.
Keel kicked off his career with Colorado Rapids in 2006, the same year he was loaned to then-USL club Seattle Sounders, before moving onto Portland in 2009.
He spent two seasons with the Timbers, now entering the MLS, making over 50 appearances with the club.
