New York City FC boss Patrick Vieira says he is ready to take on the Arsenal job.
The former Gunners midfielder has been linked with the managerial position after Arsene Wenger announced last Friday that he would depart at the end of the season.
But the Frenchman insists Arsenal haven't yet made contact with him.
"If the question is, if I'm ready. Yes, I'm ready," Vieira told Goal.
Asked specifically if Arsenal had been in touch, Vieira said: "Honestly and seriously, no.
"I still have, of course, next year.
"It is going to be my contract at least until the end of the season and then after that, anything can happen.
"But I have a contract until the end of the season."
