Real Madrid medical chiefs have given Nuri Sahin the green light to start training.

Sahin has been cleared of any new knee problems and now just needs to reach match fitness, says AS.

Real coach Jose Mourinho is buoyed by the news, but won't push the Turkey international too quickly too soon.

He'll use the same course as with Hamit Altintop, gradually introducing Sahin to serious training to avoid any setback.
