Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez admits his first weeks with the club have been nerve-wracking.

Nunez is being celebrated after scoring in the Community Shield victory over Manchester City.

In an interview with SportsCenter, the striker said: "To be honest, I was extremely nervous the first few weeks, so much so that I missed even the simplest pass.

"It was really difficult to get used to being with the team at the beginning.

"But as time went by, they made me feel comfortable.

"I had a chat with Salah, who helped me a lot. So with the Brazilians, with Luis Diaz, who is also a new guy here.

"It is really difficult to come to a big club like Liverpool and not feel pressure.

"The manager (Jürgen Klopp) has spoken to me a lot. He always pushes me forward and has given me confidence and I aim to pay it back on the pitch."
