David Nugent is grateful to Portsmouth boss Tony Adams for giving him a chance.
"Tony has changed things and wants to do things his way now the job is his," Nugent said. "I've been put out on the wing to do a job and I'm doing it. I'm just happy to be playing.
"I may not be in my best position but I've scored and I want to score a few more. Because I haven't been playing there are a few clubs I've been linked with.
"They are in the Championship, though, and I don't want to drop down. I want to prove I can do it at this level. Hopefully people will see what I can do."
