Notts County have signed defender Krystian Pearce on a month's loan from Birmingham City.
McParland told the club's official website: "(Birmingham manager) Steve Bruce rates Krystian very highly and he feels that he has now reached the stage of his development where he needs to go out and get some league experience.
"That is good news for us and although he is only here for a month, if things work out for all concerned he might be here a bit longer."
Pearce goes straight into the squad for County's first round FA Cup tie at home to Histon at the weekend
