Nottingham Forest boss Nuno fumes over Brentford goals

Nottingham Forest boss Nuno was left fuming after their 3-2 defeat at Brentford.

The Forest camp felt Ivan Toney moved the ball to his advantage before scoring from a free-kick, while Neal Maupay appeared to use a hand in scoring the winner.

Nuno later said: "The way we played, the way the boys worked, they played well, they worked very very hard. We cannot say anything, we scored, we bounced back, we react, it was a good game of football with both teams fighting for it. It's tough to take but we move forward."

On Toney's equaliser, he stated: "Just the ball displacement, no? The law says that every goal must be checked but they cannot check ball displacement so it's an issue, it's another situation that we have to look at but we are in the worst end of it and it's an important moment because we knew that Brentford were going to react, it was important to keep that situation controlled but the boys did well. It's always tough to take these kind of decisions, like the third goal, they were arguing about the situation, possible handball but the boys work hard.

"Two days ago we had a tough game so the response of the players was excellent. Of course we have to look at things the way that they are, we are trying to lowly know each other better. We have to be more solid, we have to be more compact, we have to defend better. The way we are playing and scoring and going for the game, the attitude is amazing for me."
