Norwich signing Evans wants Man City future

Ched Evans is hoping to use his loan move to Norwich as an opportunity to break into the Manchester City first-team.

The 18-year-old striker has agreed a loan deal at Carrow Road until January and he is now hoping to impress City boss Sven Goran Eriksson.

Evans hit a hat-trick in Wales Under 21s' 4-2 victory over France and he is now hoping to continue that form with Glenn Roeder's Norwich side.

"It's just a great club and it's a good opportunity to play in the Championship and play at a good level of football," Evans told Norwich's official website.

"I'm doing well at the minute but I want to see if I can do it in the Championship. That is the challenge.

"If I can go out on loan and do well then hopefully I can break into Manchester City's first-team."
