Norwich City have reportedly made a bid for Inter Milan's Andrea Ranocchia.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Canaries are determined to bring in defensive reinforcements this winter and have already offered Inter £7.3million for centre-back Ranocchia.

The 27-year-old has struggled for game time under Roberto Mancini this season and is growing increasingly frustrated at his current situation at the San Siro.

Norwich boss Alex Neilis eager to add quality to his defence, which has conceded 32 goals in 20 matches so far this term, and is prepared to pay good money to get a man who has represented Italy on 20 occasions.
