Norwich keeper Ruddy gutted by England injury

Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy was left gutted after being dropped from England's Euro2012 squad because of a broken finger.

The 25-year old sustained the injury in training on Thursday and has now been ruled out of the tournament in Poland and Ukraine which kicks off next month.

Ruddy revealed to his followers on Twitter that it was his first ever broken bone plus it is his ring finger ahead of next week's wedding with fiancée Laura and although he was disappointed, has vowed to come back even stronger.

"To everyone who has asked... as if it wasn't unlucky enough, it IS my ring finger and also my first ever broken bone!" Ruddy posted.

"Thank you for the messages, gutted but determined to come back better next season, can't wait for the wedding now!

"Taken lots of positives from the 2 days training, and the biggest positive is that it happened with England before a major tournament!"
