Norwich boss Roeder received bumper Newcastle pay-out

Glenn Roeder received a £1.1 million payout from Newcastle United, it has been revealed.

The People says Norwich boss Roeder received a hefty compo fee - despite claiming at the time he had resigned.

That was just one of the startling revelations uncovered last night when new chairman Chris Mort opened the club's accounts for the first time.

Former deputy chairman Douglas Hall was given a £1.17 million payment for being dismissed, the club lost £5 million in a failed casino scheme and new owner Mike Ashley has had to clear out £75 million worth of debt.
