North Queensland Fury are expected to complete the signing of goalkeeper Paul Henderson in the next 48 hours.

The former Leicester City shot-stopper has been on trial with the Fury and now the decision is up to him whether he stays for a contract or not.

''I have given Hendo (until) this weekend - they're off this weekend - and I would like an answer ASAP and I told him that,'' Fury coach Ian Ferguson said.

''I told him if there is no answer by Monday, then we'll be moving elsewhere.''

33-year old Henderson was released from Leicester when his contract expired in May after almost three years at the club.

He also had a two-year stint with Bradford City.
