Noble: Playing Man Utd at Old Trafford a dream for West Ham

West Ham United skipper Mark Noble has stated that the Hammers are really looking forward to their EFL Cup quarter-final clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

West Ham square off against United at the Theatre of Dreams for the second time in three days when the two teams battle it out in the final eight of the league cup on Wednesday night.

Speaking ahead of the clash, Hammers captain Noble has stated that playing such an important cup clash at such an iconic venue against a club like United is a dream but has insisted that the East Londoners will not shy away from the challenge on the night.

The midfielder told West Ham's official website: "The Premier League is important to us because of the position we find ourselves in and we need the points.

"We have tough games coming up against Arsenal and Liverpool.

"But we can now look forward to a big game in the Cup against Manchester United once again and going to play at Old Trafford is everyone's dream so we hope for another good result.

"It was a tough game on Sunday, especially after we took the lead so early on. We knew they were going to come at us and they did during the opening 45 minutes.

"But in the second half I thought it was more even and both teams had chances to win the game. Sometimes you just need that bit of luck and Darren made some great saves for us. I thought the defence played really well and we were really resilient as a team.

"You need that when you come to a place like Old Trafford and it is a special place to play but I thought we matched them man for man."
