Arsenal failed to find a taker for Shkodran Mustafi this summer.

Boss Unai Emery was desperate for the Germany international to leave this summer after telling him he had no future at the Emirates.

Mustafi, 27, has two years left on his deal and currently pockets around £90,000-a-week, says The Sun.

Arsenal were eager to free up their wage bill and despite some interest, no clubs were willing to take a punt.

He had been linked with a sensational loan move to Juventus following the serious knee injury suffered by Giorgio Chiellini.

But Juve opted against the move, leaving Mustafi's future in limbo.
