Arsenal will NOT be receiving any bonus from Barcelona after their Champions League triumph.
The London Evening Standard says Barcelona will not have to make a bonus £2.9million payment to Arsenal as part of the deal to sign Thomas Vermaelen despite winning the Champions League.
It was widely reported that Barca's success over Juventus in Berlin last weekend would trigger a clause inserted in the 29-year-old's contract that stated the Gunners would be due an additional fee.
However, because Vermaelen did not play a single minute in the competition this season, Arsenal are not entitled to any extra money.
