Stoke City players have been ordered to undertake their Christmas festivities from the comfort of their hotel according to reports.
Potters boss Tony Pulis says he wants his players to focus on football ahead of the double header with Blackburn Rovers and then Fulham so has urged them to have low key celebrations under his watchful eye.
"We let them have Christmas morning and Christmas dinner with their family, then we are away for three days to keep them under locks for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday when we don't let them out of our sight," he said.
"There's been a few moans and groans, but you have to get on with it.
"We want to keep them together to keep their recovery under control and the hotel will have all the stuff we need.
"I think the majority of them are really pleased they can have Christmas morning with the kids - and I think their wives get fed up with them anyway after that."
