Former Turkey striker Nihat Kahveci has no doubts about the motivation of Mesut Ozil at Fenerbahce.

Released from his contract at Arsenal, Ozil is now finalising terms with Fener.

His flight from London to Istanbul was followed by almost 2 million Fener fans on Sunday night and Nihat is confident Ozil can meet expectations.

He said, "This is an incredible event. He wants to go on the field as soon as possible, now minutes are not passing for him.

"He is aware of the interest and wants to respond to it."
