Nice join battle for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud

Jim Ratcliffe's Nice have joined the battle for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.

Off contract in June and struggling for regular minutes this season, Giroud admits he's likely to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Bordeaux and Lyon have both expressed interest in bringing Giroud back to France next month.

But Le 10 Sport says they'll face competition from Nice, where their English owner Ratcliffe has held talks with Chelsea supremo Roman Abramovich about buying him out this year.

Earlier this week, Giroud admitted: "There is a good chance that there will be change because I do not have enough time to express myself.

"I have my sights on the Euros. I am focused on this objective and I will do everything to get there.

"At the moment, I'm a Chelsea player. I have a few more games to play with this club before the transfer window opens. Then, we will sit around a table and make the best decision for me."
