Niasse: Marco Silva has given Hull players belief

Hull City loanee Oumar Niasse thinks that manager Marco Silva has transferred his self-belief to the Tigers squad.

The Portuguese manager has managed to make an immediate impact following his appointment in the first week of January.

The Tigers have lost only one of their last four fixtures and picked up points against the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool last week.

Niasse was one of the goalscorers in the 2-0 win over Liverpool on Saturday.

"He's someone that believes in himself and that's important for a manager because he gives to his players, to always think they can do it," said Niasse, who is on loan from Everton.

"Even if you are bottom of the league, he always says to us that we must believe. That's his way.

"When he arrived he gave everyone confidence. Even young players, he was saying they could play. All players, he doesn't care, he trains and then chooses his team. If you work hard, you're going to get your chance. There's the chance for everyone here to get their confidence back.

"Our target is to stay in the Premier League and we're going to give it our best.

"That is the fourth home win in a row so it was important to keep that confidence, especially against a big team like Liverpool. We have to keep going. The run of four difficult games is going to end against Arsenal so we needed that win."
