Newell's Old Boys have made a bid for Sunderland striker Nacho Scocco.
The Evening Chronicle says Scocco's agent has arrived on Wearside armed with a formal offer from Newell's Old Boys.
Scocco admitted over the summer that he is keen to move on - with a return to his old club Newell's his preferred option.
Now his agent Fabian Soldini has travelled to England for talks with Gus Poyet and Sunderland's sporting director Lee Congerton in an attempt to negotiate a move for the 29-year-old.
